I would like people's opinion on the sequencer/trigger and continginie spells. I know that people rate them very highly because you can cast a number of spells very quickly without being interuppted but I have gotten through most of the game again without having to use these spells (And I also don't have much need for time stop either). What do other people think.

They rock everyone world, but because there is a nifty save/load function in the game, that doesn't exist in the pen and paper game, these spells often aren't considered that usefull, because you are to lazy to bother about surviving. Though I think they rock!

there are 2 ways in which i use them, 1 is the passive, the other active...

    Passive
    Chain Contingency with
    Improved Mantle
    Stoneskin
    Mirror Image
    when i hit 50% damage

    Active
Attack spells but mostly Pierce magic, not sure if i ever placed pierce shield inside..

the passive is so that when ur taking a lot of damage, you can cast spells without them interrupting you, take damage if they ever do hit you, and prevent it for a while.. personally.. its full of redundancy but you take no chances when ur life is in danger..

    the active one explains itself..

I think triggers and contingiences are good, but not neccecary.
One contingency idea I found especially useful is...
    Contingency with Dispel Magic
    When Helpless
Then I found that when I cast Project image when this contingency was on, the dispel magic was used up and it canceled my image.
grrrr... never using that one again (I use Project Image quite a lot)
