    Hi all

I'm having trouble patching my newly installed BG1 TOTSC. Looking at the options screen from my first save the version number is v.1.3.5508 My original TOTSC disc came with a patch folder with a patch v.1.3.5512, the readme file instructs to put this in the main BG folder and install following on screen instructions. This I have done but the version number remains the same, I've also downloaded patch v.1.3.5512 from this site and tried that also.
I need to have v.1.3.5512 for the BGT-WeiDU conversion to work.

    Many thanks for any help.

What do you mean remains the same? I don't see how a patch could install successfully without changing the files. The installer would detect such issues.

Are you running the patch as an administrator? Also, have you made sure that the patch correctly detects the game installation directory?

Hi Keneth, many thanks for the reply.

"What do you mean remains the same"? The game version number in the options screen.

"Are you running the patch as an administrator"? Yes.

It seems the patch was closing before it started to install for some unknown reason, after a reboot and trying again the patch has now fully installed and it shows the correct version number in the options screen, job done.
I probably should have persevered with it a bit longer before posting, but still can't understand why the patch wouldn't work before the reboot, thanks for the help.

Sounds like a Windows "feature". I took me many years to get to the point where I can run a Win machine for 40+ days straight without a need for a restart (which I only do for updates). :shake:
