It's been a while since I've played the game, but the book I'm working on for my thesis seems to have a lot in common with PS:T (protagonist is a tormented man that cannot die etc.), it's far from identical, but some time ago I noticed that one of the previous incarnations of the protagonist is said to be Tiresias, so I was wondering what role Tiresias played in PS:T again. IIRC there was something with a Sybil as well and it so happens that the book protagonist has a companion called Sybil...so, please tell me something about Tiresias. (and yes, I know about him being a blind seer (har har) back in Ancient Greece ;))

Tiresias is a blind old man in the Tenement of Thugs. It was the Chaosmen who blinded him, even though he is one of them. IIRC he's not a seer or prophet or anything.

Sybil is just a thief who's trying to sneak out of the Tenement of Thugs.

/Pilgrim/ by Timothy Findley. I was immediately reminded of PS:T when I read it...I put an observation about both works in my draft, we'll see if the prof likes it. I linked Pilgrim (the protagonist of the novel) to Everyman and then there is The Nameless One...see a pattern emerging?

I also got totally nostalgic researching the details of the PS:T story today. :D The soundtrack is also amazing.

I secretly would very much like to analyse the PS:T story "professionally".
