So I have my Malanthrope, with his little squiddy head and pointy fingers...

Am going to have LUDICROUS amounts of fun painting him... assembling however? Erk!

Will have to pester the boyfriend to help me assemble him methinks...

Am thinking I will be using a lot of red ink on his bulgy bits, Malathropes consume all the remaining people and plants around in an area, they are an HQ choice for a sweep up squad essentally when the swarm has already destroyed the largest proportion of a native force.

As a result I want him to look fleshy and really emphasise the two people trying to escape from within his belly.

Will, of course, be painting him as a Ladynid. Will be paying him a lot of attention as he is a Forgeworld model though and rather expensive!

How is the model itself? Forgeworld makes nice models, but they can be very fiddly and they sometimes seem to have problems casting them well. On the other hand, I haven't personally built a FW model for a few years, so they may have changed since then.

Could be interesting to see if the new nid codex affects what you're doing with your swarm. :)
