I am having problems with the game not really freezing up but not moving to the next character's turn. Doesn't lock just doesn't allow the next person to go. Just seems to happen when it is Prince Thrommell's turn. Very strange.
I have found myself in the Planes right now and need him to get out. Need his damage.
    Anyone else having this problem?

This bug is caused by Thrommel's magic sword. Fragarach gives a CG wielder (like Thrommel) automatic Attacks of Opportunity anytime anyone hits him - in fact, the sword is known as the Sword of Answering. Pretty awesome ability - the weapon is considered an artifact.

The problem is that this can lead to an endless-loop lockup in the game engine when Thrommel (or anyone else who is CG and using this sword or it's twin Scather) is hit by a creature such as the Balor or Salamander. Those creatures cause fire damage whenever anyone hits them, so the game engine sets up a neverending series of retalitory strikes. Eventually, Thrommel kills his opponent with the AoO's, but the Salamander or Balor or whatever does damage to him again, and the game tries to damage a now-dead opponent, which freezes the game as it can't figure out the paradox.

No one has been able to figure out a solution to this bug - it's one of the few major issues yet unresolved even by the modders at Co8. You can only avoid it by not using Fragarach and Scather against opponents that do elemental damage.

Interesting. Thank you for the reply.
That's really too bad. That sword does huge damage to them.

Yeah, it kinda sucks. The good news is, you can use it against anything that doesn't have that kind of elemental damage - it is the best weapon in the game (except possibly the S&W from the Co8 mod...)
