After a few superhero misfires Thor came out. From marvel who wants to turn their heroes in some huge franchise I am told.

I am glad to report that mr Branagh did not mess up things. A solid movie, but the flame did not turn extremely hot. On the other side did he not go over the top.

Saw it in Imax 3d and was mildly to moderately impressed with the 3d, so 2d will suffice.

I agree about the 3D. I can't say it made a significant difference. If you forget 20 minutes in that you're watching a 3D movie, then it can be done without.

Overall I really, really liked it. It was surprisingly funny, the action was great, the Hawkeye cameo was nice (I really hope he gets his own movie, Marvel). As much or more than I did Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, both of which I loved (not so much Iron Man 2...that one was really disappointing).

Saw it Saturday. I thought it was pretty good, although I felt a bit underwhelmed by the parts that happened on Earth. One generic roboto bad guy with a so-so ending to him, and no great resolution with the government goons one way or the other.

Thought that the Asgard part was extremely well done. Not surprising given what Branagh is good at -- very Shakespearean feeling.

Saw it. Ok movie. Being norwegian though, I did experience a few cringe-moments when it came to the "vikings" in the movie. Very americanized, to put it that way. Still...5 out of 10 would be my rating.

Somewhat entertaining but also extremely silly. Then again Thor is an extremely silly hero to start with and the entire concept behind him as a Marvel hero is rather well, I use silly again. Oh and this was the first 3d movie I ever saw, I was more impressed by the trailer for Pirates of the Caribean than I was of Thor. Very tuned down 3d, couldnt see the point of it.
