--Stop me if you've heard this one ;) --

At the center of the crowded marketplace is an enchanted fountain; a pool of water with a lone Copperwood tree growing on an island at its center. The fountain is so-called because the water is enchanted to precipitate from above the Copperwood, down into the pool in whatever form that suits the weather.

Currently, beneath the hot Summertide sun, the water drizzles as a warm rain, and passing by it, one can smell the powerful scent of fresh rainfall. Suddenly, above the mercantile din, a voice resounds about the plaza, "Come one, come all the King's Camelopard!" and one can follow the voice back to a garish crimson hat and complementary white feather barely poking above the crowd.

In a moment, the small owner of said hat has vaulted himself upon the shoulders of an unsuspecting man and, now clearly visible, he proceeds to shout to any who can hear.

"That's right! The King's Camelopard! Or, if it pleases you, The Royal Nonesuch! Yes, that's right! In town for only a short time, my troupe and I have procured the local venue and will be performing the rare spectacle aforementioned.

"Fearing that our previous space would not house all who should wish to attend, I have spent, from my own coinpurse, the remaining cost to reserve the Civic Temple for this affair! This is not an event to be missed! Doors open this eve at sundown! Bring your friends! Bring your stein! For but a meager two silver, you'll gain admittance, but if you pony up naught but three more, you'll drink all night!..and recieve a pass to drink your weight each subsequent night of performance!

"This is a deal that cannot be denied and is a promotion only good for the first night! Don't miss out! It'd be a shame to see a hogshead of stout go to waste!" Finishing his speech, he hops down from the man's shoulders, who had been listening intently throughout, only to hop right back up to add, almost as an afterthought, "Oh, oh, and, due to the nature of the engagement, women and children will not be granted admission. Sorry, we must have standards."

"Again hopping down, the small man disappears in the sea of intrigued men and their frowning wives and it's clear he has created quite a stir.

[Edit/ Some clerical stuff, like punctuation and the use of paragraphs...It wasn't that hard to read...
