It looked OK, but nothing special. I'm not a big fan of Goodkind's stuff - too much dime store philosophy, IHMO.

Wait a second, it's 2009 and they still don't know how to do lightning in a movie?

lol... Well, no one is perfect!

Seriously though, I really liked what I saw, and having read an advanced reader copy I got from e-bay, I really liked the story as well..

Tomorrow is the official release of "The Law of Nines" by Terry Goodkind.
I really think you don't want to miss this action Packed Thriller.

Has anyone seen the Video clip they've done for the book release?

One of the really cool things I've noticed is the fast paced action this books gets into. Not to mention the realistic aspects Goodkind has placed throughout the book. Like a woman from another world not knowing what a car is, or how to open the door (as seen in the video clip). Many other stories I've read the author just passes those details over...

Having also read his other works, I especially liked the little tidbits that fan's of his other works can pick up on.

If I am wrong I apologize but are you sure you ain't a plant? That is certainly the impression you are giving and to be honest from what I know of Goodkind not something I would think to be below him.

He is a complete nutjob and gives a very unsavory impression if you read interviews with him. The fact that I very strongly disagree with the politics and philosophy pamphlets that are thinly veiled as really bad fantasy novels have little to do with it. Even if I completely agreed with his views I would think he was a douche as well just by the extremely crude way he is trying to pass them on.

When someone as right wing as me finds Goodkind's work to be too right wing, you know there's a problem.

I'd like to see some of the interviews to which you refer, Joa. If he comes off as sanctimonious and lacking in sympathy as his arrogant male lead, then those interviews must be really, really painful to watch.

I think I just went to his webpage and read a few of the official interviews. They were scary but it was a while back. I do know that he claims that he is not writing fantasy fiction but philosophical treatises or somesuch in the vein of "Thus spake Zarathustra" or "Atlas shrugged". He is nutty, his work features evil chicken.
