    I thinking of picking up The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins. Has anyone seen any reviews/read it themselves yet?

    I have always been interested in evolution (even speciailized in it as an undergrad), and it seems that this is the topic of the book. I also like Dawkins' book The Selfish Gene.

    On an ancillary note, is there any particular reason why historically more books seem to be released in October than any other month?

    Probably got something to do with Christmas. A book needs to be released, reviewed and generally get into people's heads in time for the Christmas shopping.

    I friend of mine, who worked in the IT department at Enron, told me that it was just about required reading for upper-management there. I never read the book, but I always wondered about the title, which I guess had a different meaning for the suits at Enron, than the author intended.

    I read "The God Delusion" (think that was the title) which is the only Dawkins book I have read. I found it quite ok, as an already convinced atheist it didn't do much for me though. I think people who are still searching should read it to get a good presentation of why there is no need to search.
