    I killed the hobgoblins before i talked to Joia and found no ring. Now she gives me the quest but there is no hobgoblins to kill. Is there no way to complete this quest now? Thanks

    There should be a ring even before you start the quest. Are you sure you killed all hobgoblins on the map?

    (Minor spoiler: there are three groups, and they all wander along the road northwest/north of the Inn)

    Sure you didn't kill them, loot their corpses, sell the ring, THEN get the quest?

    Sorry for not replying earlier. Anyway heres the deal. I keep all my savegames (hundreds) so i loaded the save where i just killed that hobgoblin pack. The ring was there, hidden behind a tree so i couldnt see it until i hovered my corser over it, giving it a blue edge.

    BUT when i load my latest savegame (ive come to chapter 3) and i fast travel back to the Inn, and go the exact same spot where i found the ring in a backpack hidden behind a tree texture, there was no drop ! Do items disapear from ground after some time? This is the only explanation

    Yes they do. Loot disappears over time.

    [​IMG] Non-critical items disappear after a certain amount of time, yes, typically 24 in game hours. Non-critical items are items that can be sold to merchants, but things like keys needed for quests will remain behind (Generally. Sometimes they seem to disappear but it's usually isolated incidents)

    Well this is kinda needed for a quest (joia flamedance ring) but it dissapeared. Is that normal?

    [​IMG] It's a non-critical item so yes. You don't need the ring to continue the game and it's a sellable item. It isn't a necessary item.
