I found an item called the Black Knight. It summoned a fighter that helped me kill the bad guys.

After resting, this item is gone and it won't come back. Is this the way it's supposed to happen? Maybe I incorrectly assumed it was a 1/day item.

I once found a "White Bishop" item that summoned a female cleric. I think it was in the Temple with the Verveeg (sp) giants.

That item also was gone after its first use.

Yeah, the chess pieces are all one shot items. Pretty powerful as well. Should have saved them for a tough fight. You won't find all of them since hey are in random drops.

^I had bishop too! Thought it was a pretty cool item and tried it! Then it vanished after first use (it healed a lot though)

Please, definitely save those for hard (finale?) battles, should you acquire more?

Save them for the HoW battles. Other than Yxunomei there are hardly any really hard battles in IWD.

[IMG] Is the Black Knight damn powerful? He does great damage? Where can it be found?

Are there more chess pieces, like king, queen etc?

BUT... :o I feel like kinda stupid now! :wail:

I really read them, I know there are knight, and bishop, what about other kinds?

I know bishop may be found in Verbeeg area, but what about black knight? Where was it found?

I read it is powerful, but how powerful? Hits fast or hard or both? I already tested Bishop when my fighter took 15 damage or so (I did not know it was one shot :aww: ) so I know its capabilities.

The chess pieces are found somewhat randomly, I so far haven't managed to find several within one game. Unless you're playing HOF, I wouldn't keep them in the inventory forever - it's really a matter of taste and style and all that when and where you consider it "necessary" to use them. In most games, you end up with a whole bunch of unused stuff you always saved for those "really tough" battles. Live for the moment! Use them in any battle that is fairly challenging.

I found one, went to use it while fighting that Lich in Dorn's Deep and got the message "Summoning Limit Reached." Ain't that a bummer...

Sir Fink, that's an even bigger waste than the time I used it! Sorry man!
