[IMG] I think i have a close to perfect party, 2 great fighters, a great mage, a cool cleric (a little weak in combat but an awesome spellcaster not to mention great diplomacy), and a cool thief.

Aside from the fighters each of them has their own weakness, cleric-bad fighter, mage-same deal, thief-bad fighter

but in the end their positives outweigh the negatives. Then there is my wild elf ranger, all her stats look ok, she dual wields 2 swords (good ones at that) high wisdom, high stength, and fair dex-const. Yet she sucks, she is a god awful character doing 1/4 damage of what my fighters do, I hate her. Yet i keep her in my party. I was thinking multi class to a druid but i dont like multi classing.

Anyone else have a cool party and one stupid character they hate but fear getting rid of!

I have a druid who stay still when fight begins he is totally uncapable of casting a spell by himself and doesn't go fighting either. Anyway i am keeping him maybe he will become useful sometime.

Not every char is meant to deal out massive damage each hit. The main benefit of a party is the workshare between fighters and support chars. In a well played party some chars just don't need to hit anything in melee at all.

For example I have a multiclassed ranger-invoker in my party: He has good stealth, is dualwielding daggers to increase his chance to hit when needed (and to perhaps get special ability bonuses from them).
Usually he relies on protective spells, stealth, high dex, protective cloting :D and - the expertise feat. Using extertise +5 he is very hard to hit - and he barely hits anything in melee - no problem with a fireshield where the enemies hurt themselves when attacking him. But a single fireball from him can hurt up to 10 enemies hard.
Make sure to understand a char before you compare a bard's melee punch with a barbarian's. You cannot judge every char based on his melee efficiency.

Every player has his playing strategies or such. I myself enjoy spells very much hehe and i can't live without them. I had a drow sorceror who was almost useless half of the game but then got really powerful with cool spells and items and he helped my party to survive. And druids are GREAT and KICK ASS. Don't mock em :)

I have female drow cleric, who is useless in just about anything. Oh I wish I had someone else instead of her.

Remember, if you don't like a character you can always remove them from your party via the modification screen and create or import a new character to take their place. If you are worried about levels and such then just use the cheat codes to increase the new character xp so that they are equal to your current characters...

[IMG] I never have any luck with dual weapons.Even with a ranger, you get a negative to hit, so you aren't hitting as often as someone with only 1 weapon. You get 1.5 times your strength modifier on damage with a 2 handed weapon (polearm, great sword...) Give the ranger a 2 handed weapon and watch the blood fly!
