    While the wrinkle cream is a bit much, I imagine there is a market for the other products. 8-12 yr old girls have mothers, possibly older sisters and other female family members, and a common trait among girls in that age group is to want to look all grown up and be "just like them". I'm sure WalMart is marketing them at a lower cost than their adult lines, which makes them more marketable.

    Boys at that age also imitate those older, except they don't do it with makeup. It's actually not that surprising to me.

    Way to crush ideals. I thought that there's no greater vanity than cosmetics beyond simple stuff like mascara, but this sets yet another low water mark. :(

    Although I've probably done more than my fair share of make-up, most of it owing to my heavy metal music tendencies and having done quite a few theatre, revue and musical productions with stage make-up, I still fail to see the point of 24/7 cosmetics usage. Even less so for children at that age.
