I can't wait for the circus to come to town!

Even though TO and Ochocinco are friends, can both of their incredibly inflated egos really exist on the same team at the same time? I feel bad for the rest of that team actually. I can't wait for the inevitable meltdown to begin though. This is going to be ridiculous.

It's not a bad move for Cinncinnati. The top defender will be on Chad which will leave the 'second best' on TO -- Owens is getting older (he's lost a bit of speed but still has great strength and hands) and the young top defenders can shut him down but he should get more looks this season.

I wonder if Cincy is going to revert back to being a passing team. They were among the worst passing teams in the league last year (25th out of 32 teams IIRC). Owens can still be a great receiver if he can cure his case of the dropsies. He wasn't getting enough balls thrown to him last year in Buffalo, but the prior year with the Cowboys he lead the league in drops.

The Bengals are the new Raiders. What a mess that franchise is, and they were very close to being on top a few years ago. Problem player after problem player goes through their system. T.O. is THE biggest A-hole in the history of sports, hands down. Chad on the other hand, makes me laugh. He is flamboyant and likes he spotlight, but comical as well.

You see it in European football too. Panic signings with the hope it will pay off. All the slowly built teams with good organization always drift to the top.

    Balanced teams.

This acquiction by the Bengals is simple; AB who they acquired earlier in the year is not panning out and has been on the sideline more than on the field. That with C. Palmer pushing the front office to open up their checkbook to bring in another weapon to help the team reach the next level.

The Bengals want to have a back to back winning season. They drafted the best TE, a slot WR that is going to be productive his first year, and they bring in TO. If the rookies can play at a high level and each produce 30-35 catches, 300-600 yards and 2-5 TD that will open up the field for TO and Chad which will make C. Benson more dangerous from the backfield, etc... This is just making the Bengals offense more balanced.

Now the Defense needs to show that their last year ranking was no fluke and between these the Bengals have a good shot at making the playoffs 2 years in a row. If that happens M. Lewis will want full control of the Bengals front office; can we say good bye to M. Brown's family run business and if M. Brown doesn't give M. Lewis what he wants what team wouldn't take a coach that was able to handle TO and Chad on the same field......

Antonio Bryant was actually CUT by the Bengals yesterday - they offered him a 4-year contract in the offseason with $8 million guaranteed. Disgraceful...
