    SPOILERS

    This is not a joke.

I was playing with my pale master in HOTU, who had already gone through SoU... playing a very very evil game. In Hilltop (SoU) when the kobolds attack a woman asks you to rescue her baby. Which I did, but then I kept it. So as a joke I kept this baby in my inventory from then on (it seemed pretty evil, hehe)

Ok so fast forward to HotU, at the beholder bridge, the one with an illithid machine at the entrance. I click on it to do the quick puzzle to gain entrance to the beholder tunnels, and there's an option, "Place Tynan in the slot."

I didn't remember what Tynan was, so I clicked it, and saw the report, lost baby! heh, then: "Two more buttons emerge from the machine, one with an icon of a spider, one with an icon of a small humanoid."

If you click either one, you get an item called, "Tynan's top." The one that comes from the spider button, summons a Level 18 Drider (Drider Tynan: abberation 6/cleric 12), and the humanoid button summons a level 19 Goblin (Goblin Tynan: level 1 humanoid/barbarian 18). the top can be used once a day, and the summon hangs out until killed... not rested... killed. So if you rest, it rests too, and then you can summon another and another...

Mephistopheles isn't going to know what hit him.

    Heheheh.

Now *that*'s cool. Just because of that, I'm going to play through SoU again. (That was spontaneous :D )

Now the question is whether your new friend will also level with you or will he be left behind? If left behind, he won't likely be much help in the final battle. :(

Well I think the new friend will not be levelling up, however the possibility of *multiple* little friends makes it interesting.

He doesn't unsummon when you rest, but the toy does get its charge back, allowing more than one Tynan to exist at a time. Oh, and the barbarian version of him is wielding a +6 battle axe too.

EDIT: Update on the, "killer baby express", when I went from chapter two, over into chapeter 3, my Tynan the Goblin defaulted to Tynan the Drider, which isn't as effective in combat (ironic), and one of my Tynan's bugged out and became indestructable. It looks as though it somehow got plot-flagged as no damage of any kind gets through to it.

Very nice. I only played each of the OC's once. I wonder how many easter eggs I missed.

That's very cool, I'll definately try this the next time I play SOU.

Great job discovering this, Arty :)
