    You're out and about and a young man you do not know approaches you. He tells you that he and his friend are competing to see who can get the most people to kick him in the nuts by the end of the day. He then asks you if you would kick him in the nuts to help him win, would you do it?

    No, that's weird. Also, I'd think it was a scam of some sort. Besides, IMHO, nut shots are reserved for life-or-death situations.

    I tend to agree... it would depend on the type of day I have had... it it was anything like yesterday then by all means yes just to take out aggression... but today it would probably be no...

    My first thought when I saw this was that it would depend on why the guy was asking in the first place. I thought that if a guy friend of mine had a strong reason/need/desire for such a kick, I'd do it. But then, I saw that it was about a STRANGER. No way.

    My initial reaction on reading this thread title was, "wait, what??" Having given it some thought, my reaction has migrated to, "wait, what??!!"

    Not a chance. I would only kick someone in the nuts in an actual fight (I fight to win) where my safety was at issue. Fortunately, I haven't had such a fight in over three decades.

    I couldn't fathom doing it in the circumstance presented.

    dmc -- Good point. Yes, a fight would be another time I'd possibly do it. I don't get in many fights (actually, none), but if I was attacked or something, yeah, the nuts are actually a good place to kick, assuming I could get away fast enough after that.

    Nut kicking? It's something that makes me a little queasy even thinking about. The sort of thing I wouldn't wish on my enemies, and all that. No, I could never do such a thing so casually.

    I'd take three steps back, and then leap into it with enough force to hopefully launch him into the air, and make him vomit all over himself.

    It's a dumb contest that he and his buddy are having, and he brought it upon himself. Sometimes the only way people learn is through extreme pain. I can only hope that somewhere else, his buddy is getting the same.

    And then you get sued, lose your house and wind up homeless in the street. :shake:

    I'm not sure if someone asking you to hurt them and you doing it in consequence actually gets you off the hook in courts. It might here, but I'm not sure about the US. dmc?

    My reasoning too. Just because somebody asks you to hurt them, it doesn't mean you have the right to do so, and I strongly suspect our local courts would agree. I would suspect a scam or candid camera and back off, fast.
