Some observations about these new Avatars!

    Seems like alot has changed while I've been away. I was rather surpriced when I saw the new Avatars. My first thought was, that it was quite a nice thing. As I read more about them, my interest about getting one for myself started to grow. But then I discovered that almost all the nice ones hd already been taken! :mad:

    How dare you, you unbelieving infidels? Bow to my might, and redemption may still be possible!

    Anyway, I just seemed to notice, that almost everyone had chosen a person from PS:T. Infact, I've only noticed sorcerer and BTA using from BG2 and IWD. Well, just my observations. (And an excuse to anoy you with a silly new topic!) ;)

    My thoughts on this:

    1. It's not the avatar that makes you - it's your post.

    2. Majority of PT avatars surprises you? Come on! They look gorgeus! Like the game itself.

    3. What seriously bothers me is that I believe some people who never played PT got avatar from it. Tal, excuse me, but I think it's blasphemy.

    4. Yes, BTA's avatar is named Lothar and appears in PT. But it kicks ass if you ask me!

    [​IMG] Blackthorne's avatar is from PS:T as well. The reason for so many from there is simply that I didn't extract any from PS:T till about two days after starting the new system. So by the time most people got around to selecting one, there was a huge batch of 40+ from Torment to select from. There are still many left from BG2 & IWD... But the biggest batch is still from Torment, since they weren't used in the regular avatar scheme at all.

    Extremist, I am absolutely NOT surprised about people using the avatars from PS:T. I've merely been away from the boards for a while, and felt like pointing this out.

    Now I recognice BTA as Lothar from PS:T. I first thought it was that druid from Kuldahar, Arundel or something.

    Oh and by the way, don't make fun about me being an ettercab. Soon I'll buy something from Amason and then we'll see who is an ettercab. Tal, please reserve the Fiirkrag avatar for me! ;)

    Mine is from PS:T, i like them because everything looks crisper and more accurate (but that would be expected because the camera is much closer to the PC)

    yes mine is from PT, and i have never played however, i did just buy the game (although i cant get it to install!).

    There also werent as many female characters to choose from, Annah is a redhead so it suits me :p

    To get a custom avatar, you have to qualify for one. To see if you qualify, check the faq(specifically, here: http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/faq.html#custom) Then either talk to Taluntain in the Sorcerer's Place chatroom or e-mail him.
