SoA & ToB multi pack questions

    Just a couple of questions before i start this game:

    1: A friend of mine told me to play SoA to complete, and THEN install ToB to play the extra missions. Should i do this or just install the whole lot at once.
    2: Do i need to patch after installing ToB or doesn the ToB installation include all necessary patches. (i DID do a search for this but couldn't find anything usefull and i can't find a ToB patch in the downloads section)

    Oh, and if anyone wants to give any other useful pointers for a first time BG2, then feel free. BTW, i don't have my saved character from BG/TotSC so will be starting totally from scratch.)

    AFAIK you can install both of them together, without any problems. It would also be advisible so that you won't 'lose' experience after you've reached the SoA XP-cap before the ending of the game.

    An advice for a first timer...hmmm...have fun?

    First off, since it's your first time through the game, don't cheat! Secondly, if you are playing as a male, pick an NPC to romance early in the game...romancable female NPCs include Aerie, Jaheria, and Viconia; these romances last a long time, and for some you need to get them started ASAP so you get all the content. :rolling:

    Yep do romance!If you are doing romance with Jaheira you must know that they are nasty bugs. And never kick her out of your party!
    Then kill all the dragons you see when you can most of them have good drops.
    Liches are gross.Lower their defenses first.
