Snickers is a 1 year old female wire haired fox terrier. We got her when she was six weeks old and oh so sweet plus cute. That was then and now is now. She is now 15 inches tall and weighs 16 muscular pounds. The breeder told us this breed needs a lot of exercise, wow what an understatement. Luckily we live on a golf course which is her exercise grounds. She minds well when in the house but when outside gets distracted by any living thing or anything that moves which means she won't come on command. I have to walk her on a 30 foot lead to control her. We walk 3.6 miles in the morning and 2.7 to 3.4 miles in the afternoon. Early on I taught her to play ball and retrieve. The reason for the long lead is if sees some golfers on the green putting she can get their putt before it goes in the hole. This makes her less than popular with the golfers. She has learned to find lost golf balls and retrieve them. Over the course of this year she has found 9,000 + golf balls. So now I have a used golf ball stand on the 4th
green. At least she is earning her keep.
