Do mice come in smaller sizes than 4 1/2" long by 2 1/2" wide?

[IMG] Yes; I got a mouse bundled with my laptop that's about half the size of a regular mouse. There are even smaller mini mice, some hardly any larger than USB keys. But even the half-size one takes some getting used to and I still only use it when I don't have a normal mouse around. They're a good fit for kids though, I imagine.

Mine is, 3,7" long, 2,1" wide.

It's Logitech's "Cordless Mini Optical Mouse" which probably explains everything. I'd recommend it otherwise, but it's a battery-gobling little fella, so one with a cord would probably be better. I just bought some rechargeable batteries.

It took awhile to get used to, since the whole hand isn't used, but mainly only the fingers.

Razer. Small mice can be good for people whit slender hands. It is all part of the design. It is more inportant to choose a mouse with RSI in your mind and combined whit the right mousepad. My niece had one of those mine mouses but was not happy. Part of the problem was that the mouse needed to much move-space.

If it is meant for a laptop and to be used on different surfaces the dpi resolution is a factor. if this is adjustable the mouse can also be used on bad or small surfaces. for a desktop mouse it is important how the fingers are placed on the mouse. Does your hand lie on the mousbody or on the keys? some highend mice come whit different adjustable weights.

A general tip for everyone. A mouse has three gliding studs or feet. They wear. They can be replaces by universal feet, or place a droplet of glue on worn feet. (optical mice)

Your hand is twice the size of mine. :p

This would be for a normal computer. I've broken the buttons on my optical mouse and have realized it's because my fingers don't touch the buttons 'properly'.
