    I have a fast PC, but after installing BG 2+TOB for the first time in ages, it seems the framerate drops when there's alot happening on screen. This didn't even happen when I had a lowly PC.. I can play RTW with 6000 men on screen and have no problems, but with this 7 year old game, it plays as if I've installed a game that's way to powerful for my PC to run. It's not terribly slow all the time, just when a lot is going on. I have no idea what it might be... It's patched and has baldurdash, it runs at 1024/768, and I have my 6600 GT updated to the nvidia 84.21 driver. I've no idea, although I know that back then, when I first got it, it was made for the 98/me OS's, so it has to be a software thing... I'm sure somebody else has had the problem, I searched the bioware forum, but found no response to their similar problem. If anyone come's up with a fix, I'll donate $20 to SP.

    Hmmm. I wonder if that direct draw thing would fix the slowdown some of us get in our time stop offensive spell blast moments.

    Actually, there's been a slight drawback to using this method, it gave me cursur flashing, and sometimes item flashing in my inventory, I'm sure you know the type I am talking about, does anyone have any ideas about that?

    I've had that too Sarevok, in BGTutu though... for me, the ONLY time I experience slow down is with the "running water" ambient sound effect when there is a river or waterfall - e.g. in Nashkell. Weird, but I can live with it (I only turn ambient sounds down when there is running water).

    There should be some switches to help with that in the game options under graphics... try that.
