Okay, I've gotten there, heard the whole thing, and had Jaheira cast a detect evil for grins and giggles. Of course, there's a lot more folks around than you can see that she detects this way, and there's a whole lotta evil going on.
So, which is the lesser of the evils, siding with the King or the prince? I'm leaning towards siding with the prince, but I wanted a few opinions before I start playing tomorrow.

[IMG] I think if you side with the prince you get more EXP, and thats wahat I did (which ever option gave me the most EXP, that is). Then I killed everyone anyway...

If you side with the king, you get a halberd blade, which can be forged into a complete halberd by cromwell. you need the shaft as well, which i think you get from the Beholder Cult place in the temple district, though i'm not sure

As a good aligned here, I always sided with the prince and doublecrossed the insane king. Then, disgusted by the degenerate and evil fishies, I decided to folow Keldorn's advice to kill everyone there. Pretty satisfying, I hate sahuagin.

The Wave part can be pickpocketed from the Prince, so don't make that affect your decision.

[IMG] Actually the shaft is found in the planar prison not the Beholder cult area.

I helped the Prince, as it seemed the proper course. However, if you're willing to take a greater risk, you can side with the prince, and then after that, you can turn on him...in essence, you'd be wiping out the whole evil city.

In my opinion just kill the whole city, but don't forget to loot for Cloack of miroring. About the Wave - it isn't so cool.

[IMG] Same here, sided with the prince, decided that I wanted the stuff he had. Then pick pocketed him very badly. He turned against me so I had to kill him. Simple.

So after the city has been cleared of anything living, do you still get to go to the Underdark? Every time I play, I just go straight to the underdark, and I just wanted to know what I'd be missing. :rolling:

Yes you go to the underdark. You are missing some nice items. A great cloak (extremely useful in the underdark) and a piece of a weapon that can be forged.

If you side with the prince, and kill the king. Then you talk to the prince and attack him, yous till get the same EXP you would have for siding with the King and killing the prince! :p:D
