ok... I have read countless other post re: romances.. cluaconsole, etc. I STILL don't understand them. 2 questions:

    1. can I set a variable, using the cluaconsole, to a point where I will enter the last phase (in the case of vic- handmaiden attack). i.e. can I set romancetalk to 70 and wait for the attack to occur??????????

    2. what good does changing the other variable (the one that can be 0, 1 , 2 or 3????)?????

I have read many posts on this subject--all center around speculation as to what these variables do and what changing them does. I am ready to enter ToB and I want to complet the vic romance (one reason I played SoA again...)..

    any help? please????????????

I've never had a problem with the romances...hmm here's a thought oh yeah I don't go fiddlin' with all this variable crap. Just roleplay and go. Frick the variables. If you spend more time worrying about some variable I wonder if you are truly having fun with the game.

you can set the lovetalk rating to 70, but I think you will miss all of the dialogues and the drow attack.

as for your second question I dont know, you might want to download the romance guide: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_tips.php or the romance patch (just read the txt file without using the patch)

    That 1-2-3 variable means IMHO:

1 - romance is not activated
2 - romance is activated and proceeding
3 - romance was activated but you screwed

For other details ask Slappy or wait a few weeks till someone makes a new "romance guide" - that old one sux.
