It is kind of impressive though.

 

I'll continue to update it as the RBPs end and begin. I had been hoping that noone would notice this for a full day so I could put my notes right below the times, but I wasn't really expecting it. So here goes:

Longest lasting RBP ever: the original "Doh" post by Slappy lasted 80 days, 11 hours, and 10 minutes (despite the handicap of a 300-post limit as compared to our 500-post limit today).

Shortest lasting RBP ever (so far): RBP #54 lasted only 6 days, 13 hours, and 4 minutes!

Most posts in an RBP: 581 in RBP #53 (BTA was not happy...)

Most edits to a single post: 5 distinct edits by Ara on page 10 of the Non-spam Spam Post

Still, it's an impressively well-organised and researched list. You're not dodging coursework, are you Fel? I know I'd do anything to avoid work, but jeez... Have you been through the housework stage yet?

 

Hey, I started putting this together more than a month ago in my spare time, and I'm still not done with it. I had expected to be by the time the last RBP (#43) closed, but there seems to be an alarming increase in the speed of posting. ( I wonder if that could have anything to do with me? ... Nah. )

Well, I'm doing my best to catch up with Felinoid. I'm about half of his total postings thus far.

How about giving us more such stats Felinoid? For example, who babbled the most in the just concluded RBP? Or in any other.

Well How about the a list of active spammer in those RBPs (those with more than one post) to see who spam the most?

Or the one with the most typo/gramatical error (Ara come to mind ) or the one who make the longest post ( Chevalier come to mind , seriously someone ought to make resume of his post)

 

Hmmm, that bears investigating - which RB thread had the most/fewest different posters; which poster was most frequent in any one thread/all threads; mean #of posters/thread; mean #of posts/poster; etc. etc.

If you're taking a stats course, you could maybe even use this little study as an extra-credit assignment or something...

Could you add the actaul RB thread numbers to the rights of the dates?

 

The PfRB,PwSS only goes up to six and NsSP never needed numbers. The RBPs are in blocks of ten, so I thought that would be rather easy to figure out. I'll try something out; let me know what you think.

On a side note, I think it's interesting to note how the record for shortest RBP was set for over a year after BTA threatened to shut them down permanently when he closed #11.

Wow, the actual Random Babbling Posts have been around for exactly one week more than me! It's hard to believe I've already been here for three years.

 

I've added three newly found threads to the beginning (thanks again, Ara!) and have some more stats to impart. Looking in the first ten threads (all the pre-RBP ones) for the current top six posters, I found:

Taluntain - 96 posts
Chevalier - not around yet
Harbourboy - not around yet
BTA - 18 (half of which were admonitions to go to the chatroom for simple back and forth)
Arabwel - 116 posts
Ragusa - 61 posts

Skimming through the posts I was tallying, I discovered an astonishing fact; Ragusa used to be fun! WTF happened?!?

 

Maybe Ragusa grew up and became and adult. Horrors! Adults always take things too seriously.

So back in the early days Ara was Queen of the Random Babble even without Broadband? Now that she has broadband it's no wonder the RBP fills up so fast.

 

I blame SP for getting kicked out of 3 schools! I spent all my time here

 

I'm sad that I'm in no stats whatsoever. What is the impression I give to other people on SP I wonder?

Arab didn't have Broadband in the days and yet she spammed so much?! That is a feat of (internet) strenght indeed.
