I did a search on "parry" before, but as the previous topics on "parry" are dated quite long ago, I would like to have more updated info on it.
1.Is this "parry" skill any good or is it useless like most guides(dated quite long ago too) pointed out.

2.How does improved initative affect the char? What is/are the benefit/s?

Parry IMHO is useless. The best that it will do it block the attack, as being able to counter an attack is very rare, least in my experience.

Improv Intit improve your initative roll, which determines who attacks first. If your roll is higher than your opponents then you get to attack first.

If you don't have a very high value in Parry, it's useless.

Improved Initiative is a very cool roleplaying choice. Like a samurai/ninja/shadowdancer who always strives for speed and first strike. With all the rules of HPs and stuff it's pretty much useless to gain first strike. Unless you have something really nasty runes/poison etched on your blade

It owns in the epic fighter feats. If they don't save vs death they die.

Also is pretty good for mages, as it lets them get their spell off first, and in mage battles it is often that the first one is the last one.

    I see...
So the only way to increase initiative is by feats is it right? No other ways right?

    Dexterity modifier + feats.
I think Blooded feat gives you +2 to initiative too. Or at least some other lvl1-only feats.
