What city on Earth do you think looks best? I know London was voted best city but i think that's wrong. My own fave's San Francisco. Never been there, but it looks great. My other faves are London and Minsk.

[IMG] I've never associated cities with being pretty but I'd say:

    Dorchester or Oxford

If I was going to choose

San Franciso is terrific, I agree. Long Beach is wonderful, too -- if not noted for its civic beauty.

But while I have not been off the North American continent, I have to say that the prettiest city I have ever seen is...

    Des Moines, Iowa.

A beautiful Victorian stone city, in the middle of countryside that looks like a golf course, with little rivers and their massive overhanging trees everywhere you go. And if you like corn genetics, well, bonus.

San Francisco, definitely. Charleston, South Carolina is also gorgeous.

[IMG] All cities have their charms, except for Sacramento, but I have to say that where I live, Vancouver, has its really swell days, and Denver is pretty nice sometimes. The prettiest cities are mostly in Europe as far as I'm concerned. Venice is astounding, as is Innsbruck, Austria as well as Prague. My vote goes to a little city, by N.A. standards, in Spain called Santander.

Either Venice or Rome. Both are terrific.

Just one? Toledo (Spain). But it's a close call among all the top 5: Eze (France), Nurnburg (Germany), Dresden (Germany), Basel (Switzerland). Haven't been to Prague but I bet I'd love it.

Hmmm...I'd have to say Oxford, although I love Norwich too. Bristol is pretty good as well.

All English of course  :D

There are a lot of beautiful cities in the world so far. I would choose:

    London (England)
    Brugge (Belgium)
    Venezia (Italy)
    Sevilla & Toledo (Spain)
    ...

I could go on, but since I'm a Spaniard I choose the last two :D
