Prestige Classes and XP penalty

    No they don't. :)

    You can have 1 level of Shadow Dancer for example without any disadvantage.

    Whoah, wait a sec!!

    does that mean that I can have a halfling rogue(x)/wizarrd(10) Shadowdancer(1) With no experience penalty?

    Yes, that is correct. If someone has their favoured class and a prestige class, then they can never suffer an XP penalty no matter what their third class is.
