[IMG] Just out of general curiousity. I've seen more people with Avatars/Portraits than before, and so I was just wondering what all you people did to get them? Personally, I initailly sent in my Portrait Pack, Gopherboys Retouched Portraits for BGII. Then I wrote the Item & Spell Making Tutorials (how to make items and spells for BGII), then I sent Tal some cash (£10 I believe it was), then I started doing the News with the SP Team! Busy busy! :)

So, what have you done to deserve it? Tell me!
(Some shameless Advertising in here, I know :D )

Well, let's see...what did I do to deserve "Spike Boy" over there. Oh yeah, I wrote an items making tutorial, and a Deck of Many Things walkthrough. I mean to donate some cold, hard cash to the site, but I keep forgetting. It'll happen sooner or later. :rolling:

What have I done for SP?

By simply being a member of SP is a good reason to get an avatar or a portrait. 'Cause I share with you my endless wisdom and humor. I should be an admin right now. But... people have become very "blind" and connot see what I have really done for them.

Now, seriously. I plan to donate to SP in the future. Near or distant I don't know, but I will surely donate.
There are five reasons why I don't do it now:
    1)I don't have enough money
    2)I'm not an adult
3)My parents will surely refuse if I told them. And if I don't tell them and they find it out...
4)I am somewhat 'afraid' of sending money to someone I don't know
5)I want to see and the other gems under my PDN.

    That's it.

I send in a couple of portrait packs. I was probably one of the first with an avatar. According to the date on the first portrait, it was in July 2001. I don't think more than 20 people had an avatar at that time. That were the days, me as Ebb Creakknees.

I'm probably going to buy the new 3.5 D&D books at Amazon, so I'll be contributing to SP again. I just have to compare with the prices in the store (if they are much cheaper there (probably not however), I'm not buying them on Amazon), and wait until Amazon has them in stock again.

I've sent two IWD2 portrait packs. First time was in November 2002, but I didn't take portrait/avatar, because I couldn't choose  When I sent more portraits in this year's April, choosing portrait took almost three days.

Sent cash, how much I honestly don't remember. Probably will send some again soon, and try to take an opportunity to browse for a new portrait for myself as well.

Sort of makes one feel like a lazy bum counting in all these portrait/script/news/walktrough/mod -makers etc, but fact is I've 3h per day to waste on hobbies after coming from work at ~17:00. And I will never be one to work my entire day with something, even if it was interesting. So money saves me the bother of stressing some other accomplishment for the remaining 2-3h I have for myself.

I contributed a nice fat portrait pack for BG2. It's kinda big (about 130 portraits), but definitely worth downloading, especially if you like high-quality screenready portraits like the ones from Neverwinter Nights. Scanned images are ugly and they just bug me. These took me forever to compile. Some of them I polished up myself to ensure nice screen quality.

I attempted to donate a nice chunk o' change, but for some reason Pay-Pal wouldn't accept my card. So I'll probably send in a check or something...when I get around to it. :o Sorry Tal, I haven't forgotten!

I'm planning on buying Greyhawk through here when it comes out, too.

[IMG] I'm not allowed to donate anything, and I haven't made anything good enough to send in. I'm pretty useless.
