Well, if I could go anywhere, absolutely anywhere at all in time, I think I'd probably choose to go back to a week last Tuesday. I did all the laundry, and then we watched TV. Wow, we won't see the like of THOSE sorts of days again.

Sorry... just reminded me of Red Dwarf.

Past, I would say... t*resists the urge to say something way pessimistic*

Lack of hygiene can be dealt with; a lack of habitable world... no thanks.

Both! First, I would go back in time and deposit $500 in to a savings bond, or something like that...then I would go in to the future and and make the withdraw! :money:

You can actually go back and forth through time. Since time is relevent, all you need to do is get on a supersonic plane and go to a different country! :rolling:

Blast to the past! The future is too scary... to think about anyways.

Funny poll numbers BTW. 55% past and 55% future - way to confuse the statisticians out there.

    Update 58% past 50% future.

Past for me. Oh the medieval ages... I'd love to live in that period.

I would love too see the future, and it wouldn't create any paradoxes that would render me non-existent either.

I would go to the past. The future comes around anyway to bite you in the ass.

Most likely the past (depending on how time travel would work though) :)

I'd go to the past...that way I could fix a lot of things I've done wrong, and still retain the surprise and uncertainty of life...till I fix it again. :p

Past. Way back actually. Think Middle Ages or Greek and Romans.

I'd love to go t the future as well, but the past just seems to attract me more.

You see... I'm a brooding little realist: I wouldn't match in the past, nor in the future. Given a couple of centuries difference, I would speak a totally different language. I can handle baroque English or even renaissance English if I can call upon my books and other help, but it's not like English was so widely spoken back there in time, and I'm no good with old French. Latin wouldn't help me with peasants and burghers. In the future... well, I would be the one speaking some ancient dialect. Languages develop fast now. I'm pretty sure the difference between 21st and 24th century languages will be much greater than 18th and 21st.

Anyway, if I didn't have that problem, hmm... it would be nice to see how things will have developed, but then what sense would be living through them? Could check a couple of things in the past, though. Middle Ages and ancient civilisations would be it. I am obsessed with those. I've been able to give three hour lectures on them practically without notes. My Greek sucks, but my Latin should suffice at least to help in learning more of it fast.

[/lengthy reply that no one will bother reading but I still fancied jotting]
