For me, the strongholds became a hinderance after a while -- especially the thief stronghold. The pocket plane was a good idea.

The pocket plane was a good idea, I liked Cespenar too. The protagonist cannot flee to pocket plane during combat - this was strange first, but then I realised that if it were possible, then the game would be chaotic and easy and bad.

I preferred the old strongholds better. And being a Priest of Lathander, Cespanar is an abomination and an insult to the Good God of Rebirth! Die ratty scum! *casts Bolt of Glory*

I thought the pocket plane was great! Particularly with the fighter ranger and druid strongholds, being out in the middle of nowhere isn't exactly convenient. The pocket plane is a faster effect place to store things and more importantly rest.

Cesp is cute at first, though I admit I sometimes turn my speakers off when I have a lot fo upgrading to do. He gets a little tiring, but I'll take the Pocket Plane any day!

I agree, I did not turn my speakers off though. It certainly cannot be killed, and due to its resistances, cannot be Silenced either :( That could have helped :D
