Which did you eat when you were a kid in school?

I was/am a paper eater. I had a friend try to hook me up with Elmer's Paste with the plastic dip stick for convenient eating, but I didn't catch the habit.

    Another avid paper eater here.

Either I was eating paper or drawing skulls and/or pentagrams on the back of my religious education book in an effort to freak out my teacher (which was an astounding success, I ended up being forced to see a psychiatrist).

Pencils. Pencils were not safe around me, I'd chew 'em down to the lead. I wouldn't eat the lead though, or the metal crimp.

Just like Stefanina - I'd gnaw on my pencil to concentrate...until you could write with either end. :)

Because I tended to press hard, I'd have hard-lead drafting pencils (Staedler for the win!) with no erasers on the end, encouraging my 'sharpening' activities...

I had the Gorgon for kindergarten and Hydra for first grade. There was no eating of school supplies in either class, and by second grade (down to a mere troll) I was too cowed to eat anything but what they served for lunch in the cafeteria.

The paste always smelled the best to me, though.

Paper. Did anyone else do that thing where you used to put PVA glue all over your hands then peel it off?

I used to eat paper quite regularly, even into high school. Spitballs made a few appearances as well but more often than not the paper ended up in my digestive system. I did dabble a little in eating just about anything else such as the old favourites pencils, crayons and paste as well as staples, marbles and so on. Ah the wonders of youth...

I actually tried staples once, but ended up stapling my thumb. Needless to say, that ended my eating stuff phase...

Hhhmmmm, food? Like normal food? You people are sick!
Yeah that reminds me of the time I really pissed of my religion teacher. We were reading the gospel and I said " Okay so I'll read a passage from the the gospel according to me " instead of " according to Matthew ". It was quite funny, but the teacher didn't laugh. (Btw, me name's Mathieu french for Matthew)
