[IMG] It shames me to ask such a question, but I need information on what every woman wants the most in life. This is for a school essay about the Wife of Bath's story in The Canterbury Tales. The most generic answers are in the poll, but PLEASE write something else in response.

    I second that, Oblate.

Since I can't vote more than 4 times, I voted Nice Clothes over Flowers.

Equality, love, an education, and spirituality. From all these things, a woman can have anything.

Not just a woman, but anyone.

People picked chocolate and money over education?! Without an education, where would you expect to get money? I can only think of a few professions in which an uneducated woman can earn any kind of decent money, and she uses her body, not her mind.

Intriguing that there was nothing in the poll for professional success: socially meaningful work, an exciting career, critical acclaim, Nobel-winning scientific or artistic accomplishments, even an Academy Award... I don't know any woman that spends any time thinking about "Power over Men" (?!) but lots that anguish over their professional lives. And "education" is no substitute. There are a lot of highly-educated people who do nothing meaningful with their lives, and others, like my grandmother, who have lived satisfying and valuable lives with a grade-five education.

I went for "Love", "Children", "Knowledge" and "Good Friends".

Love, everybody wants this, men or women.

Knowledge, can be more important than education.

Good friends, someone to be there for or to be with (rainy days and sunny days).

Children, I'm surprised that only 3 votes for this category. I know a lot of women who felt complete when holding her new born baby. Or finds no other joy than to be with her children. Or wants to have a baby to love and care, even if it's not from her own womb. And in many occassion would choose her children over her husband, friends, money, carreer, and others. To the ladies out there, am I wrong? :)

BTW, to the guys out there, this is based on experience... not just my experience.
If you give a lady chocolates/candies/toys they will forget you, but they will always remember who gave them flowers.

[IMG] Really it is a hard question because women aren't sharing some universal mind as to what we want from life, any more than men are. We aren't Borg, honest. ;) I know some women who want to have children and a family more than anything, I know others who never want children and want to be rich. There are women who want love, there are women who want power over men, there are women who want clothes and jewellery, there are women who want career success and a good education. I think it's pretty safe to say that women do want equality with men, generally, but it's more important to some women than others. Ultimately, what I want (and what I think everyone should have, personally) is to be treated as an individual, rather than being categorized as acting a certain way and wanting certain things strictly because of my gender.

The name of the game is Love.

    Everyone eventually becomes a player.

The object of the game is to figure out what are your lover's most hidden wishes.

If you know those before the game starts, it is called cheating.

Cheating takes away all the fun.

And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you gave.
    Paul McCartney
    But i don't like him though. :D
I don't think that every woman wants love, maybe every child.
I get a lot of love and people trust me. Sometimes i feel guilty for that. That's one of my problems.
I feel like influencing people. And influencing is evil. :( I can't explain it.

[IMG] Whatever it is that woman want, I sure don't got it.

Mayhap that's it. Women see that I don't have a certain quality, then demand it of me. :D
