    Hmm i voted for the oracle but i think some of those suggested in the original poll were good; especially aegron's "sorcerer's serious side!" a lovely set of a alliteration.

    Hmm, I feel I must 'diss' the poll results so far. 7 votes for 'the oracle' ?

    The name is truly bad.

    I'd like to lodge a complaint :p I want it to be 'The Brothel For Slating Intellectual Lusts' as it fits in perfectly with the D&D genre, plus it sounds good :D

    Well, I don't see the attraction of The Oracle either...

    And Herf, it was supposed to be called Brothel for Slaking Intellectual Lusts in Torment, only they screwed it up and left it "of Slating" everywhere. Which was an error. And it makes little sense. So if anything, I'd use the correct version.

    More fitting, I find :D

    Just the phrase 'Slating Intellectual' sounds fitting to our boards :D I know it was a mistake, but it sounds GOOD.

    And for the Oracle. It may sound cool; If associated with a person, NOT with a forum. Are we supposed to listen to one person only? The oracle? *crips*

    I would Either go for Speakers corner or Ocean of Opinions. Ocean of Opinions has the alliteration that Z-Layrex seeks, and will most likely be quite fitting to the forums content, as would Speakers Corner.

    Make a new Poll, people are influencesd by Bel's random babble :p + :rolleyes: + :mad:

    [​IMG] I loved Torment so I thought that the nostalgia from Torment ought to play a small part in SP, therefore, the name Brothel for Slaking Intellectual Lusts was the best. :D

    Gotta go with The Brothel' here Tal not just because it was a great place in PST but becuase it's a more fitting name. The Oracle sounds more about one person who dishes out great knowledgable things, and I think a board about me would be unfair. ;) :hahaerr: What about everyone else who would be in there. They really should be included in the name too. :angel:

    Sorry people but I actually think that they all suck, we already have a corner, The Oracle realy has nothing to do with the subject matter, A Brothel? Come on Tal you wouldn't let someone call themselves 'Elf Porn' so why the hell do we have a brothel? And what does Fortress of Regrets have to do with anything?
    So out of those I think I'll go for the Alley of Dangerous Angels

    More than anything, I think the the Brothel name is a mouthful. It's very cool and fitting, but I think it's awkward as the name for a board. I went with Oracle because it's the one I liked best out of the bunch...Maybe the Brothel would be better if it was shortened somehow (yeah, my opinion, but you asked for it!) Of course, everytime I see the name I'm going to think of 'Bordello of Blood'....

    [​IMG] Suits me right for going too deep into this poll mania. Although in some way it's good, because it made me realize that Brothel etc. isn't a very good pick, because no one outside the people who played Planescape: Torment would get it. (Initially this was my first choice.)

    So as it is, I'm stuck between Alley of Dangerous Angles and Ocean of Opinions. The first is a good pun AND from Torment AND appropriate, while the second has a nice alliteration, and a cute abbreviation ("Go post in OoO!"). And it's appropriate.

    I won't make a new poll just for this, so everyone just state their votes below my post here. Which of these two would you pick? (Ignore the initial poll above, I can't close it down.)
