I know its a long time ago, and a completely different company, and that they are two distant games, but.... :yot: :borg:

Has anyone played the game called "Thief" one and two? What about Deus ex?
I think that a D&D/Ad&d, first person, RPG styled game, with aspects of the two I mentioned would be a sheer dream.

Picture having the choice of all the basic character choices, all the basic character generation parts, optional henchmen, several cities and a innovative, yet controlable, game system.

Your pressed with a story, and going about missions is a matter of taste and skill. With a thief you could break into the poor mans house, go to the top floor, and get into the upper floor window of a rich merchant to find out info, or you could use spells to infiltratethe house, or break down the door, or however you wanted to do it.

You could go around, in disguise, and listen in to a meeting of mages. If you get caught, you could bribe, sweet talk or just butcher you assailant. You could talk to commoners, merchants with the oh-so-familiar multi-script dialog, which more options are added depending on your skills and stats. All by using a mouse/keyboard combo to explore this seamingly boundless world.

I could go on forever about the perfect fantasy game...but thats not the main topic.

What do YOU think would make the perfect AD&D/D&D game. I want to hear what YOU think would make it shine, what the basic interface system would be, what critical factors could make it "Game of the year."

Umm, I think, Morrowind, with more variation in quests and a better dialogue system might be it. So I'm gonna say TES 4: Oblivion.
