I'm not sure what the Rainforest Cafe is, so I said no. But I have eaten at a Viking-themed place called Vahalla in the strip, does that count?

Wizards are maiar...In MEN shapes, they bascly function as men bodily, though they posess mental powers. I understand him though, Ainur as a choice would be to powerful.

    I love elves! And hobbits...

I liked Rivendell the best, but Dwarves were the coolest race. If I were an elf I wouldn't have this sexy beard would I?

Rivendell rocked. It rocked in the book; it rocked in the movie (within reason =).

And, elves have other physical features/abilities to make up for their lack of beards. At least, the female elves do; in my little fantasy world... :D

If this survey was meant to reflect the general public, I'd say that "do you know what an elf is" question has an "obvious" answer simply because it is posted on SP.

I think Rivendell is in the next one, even though it was not in the book.

Actually, now that I think about it, has anyone got any links to some good pictures of elves? Elven architechture would be even better, but I'm not fussy... :p

[IMG] Can a fantasy race have architecture examples?
    :p

Your best bet would be to watch LOTR - I think they did a great job creating elven architecture. I've always imagined gracefule designs, with sylvan undertones. Very similar to what they used in the movie.
