    This is not a very good poll setup. You've only got "Multi-Class". Why? More than half the classes are multi-class.

    Anyway, my favorite class for BG1 is a Cleric/Ranger. Why? Because, despite all the weapon restrictions you still get to use that boss hammer.

    I voted multi class. As a fighter/mage you can use both fighting skills and magic.

    As Mystra pointed out, you really should expand on the multi-classes as there is such a diversity of them. I have to say that I almost always play a multi-class over a dual or single-classed character, so virtually ANY multi-class would win over a single class. That having been said, a multi-class cleric/mage is an entirely different animal than a fighter/thief, which is an entirely different animal than a ranger/cleric, so lumping them all together isn't really fair.

    My fav BG I class is probably the solo fighter/thief. Unstopable. Too bad I lost my BG I though... :(

    Hmm, y'know when you dual class and you start with your new class back at 0 xp etc. Well say that you reached the experience cap and then decided to dual class, would you be able to get experience for your dual class and therefore effectively become a10th level character? with some hard ass bonuses? :)
