Lol! I hope enough people vote on both topics so as can actually see which is more pleasing books/beer or women/men. Interesting choice to counter beer with btw.

Argh! Stupid java won't pop the stupid poll open! *throws things around*

My opinion? Books. (And that includes anything in written form. Why? Because men have done nothing to me books have yet to do better.

    (Who, me, bitter? Hell yeah!)

Books! Books! Over us men, what is wrong with you? Being dashingly handsome and charming ( ;) ;) nudge nudge) I take this in offense. Well, not really.

"Because men have done nothing to me books have yet to do better."

    Ara.

    Omg.

I'm not exactly sure what to say on this one, but I'm fairly confident that I shouldn't post it on SP. :)

Are there just no good boys in Finland?

Books. Definitely. My favourite hero in my favourite book will never disappoint me or forget my birthday, and not one of my novels has yet to complain if I eat (or take a bath) while I read them. And I can use them over and over and over again and never lose that sense of wonder when I pick one up. Ahhhhh, books. Beer would be nice too.

[IMG] Neither. I've given up on men as they are all @$$holes and I'm too depressed to read books

Boy, it does seem as if we need a lot of that here, don't we? The amount of angst I've seen throughout all of the forums is quite astonishing, really. Must be due to the fact that a large proportion of SP's population are in their teens or late teens. Ah well, those years will pass soon, boys and girls.

    ;)

Reason? Men don't annoy you and don't answer back, men don't listen and never do anything you ask them - however polite or forcefully you do so. They always expect more than they are willing to give and are so damn ignorant!

Sorry - I had a building hatred, had to come out somewhere :heh: should be gone now :D

You just haven't met the right guy yet Ara. *wink wink, nudge nudge* ;) :p

But on a personal level, I agree. I prefer books over men as well.

And Lady Bonzo, books are a far better option compared to men than beer is to women. Now if you'd have said Women versus Books, I might actually be indecisive ;)

Not THAT sort of books. I will NEVER read those. And cookbooks too.

Prozac? No thanks. They are already feeding me too much meds. :p

Heck, if the male gender keeps up this disappointing trend, maybe Eze and I should just hook up... :p :p :p :p :p :p

    (Bad ideas... )

Well, as much as I love to read, books can never:
    * rub my shoulders when I've had a long day
    * encourage me to get over whatever hump is in the way
    * make a Mommy out of me
    * get me involved in new hobbies, or make me better at old ones
    * cuddle

Besides, when I hooked up with Velcro I got to dive into his collection of books!

I can encourage myself very well. And a female friend can do most of those things. Except for making you a mother and cuddling.
