    Where are the clues for determining the order of activation for the runes on the floor ? Or is it just trial and error?

    Thx for the answer, but I wasn't asking for the answer to the riddle (ie, the correct order). I already know that. ;)

    But I haven't been able to spot clues hinting at the correct order. Most riddles in the game have clues, but apparently not that one or have I missed them?

    I asked this same question many months ago, and I don't believe I got a satisfactory answer. AFAIK, there were no clues.

    Open your eyes and your imagination. The runes are nothing but numbers shaped by some free artist. If your vision is good, you'll see which rune is which number, and then you just step on them as 1,2,3,4.
    There is no other written clue about them. Why should it be?
    I don't see that it's trial and error.
