    Hi all,

I'm new here, and have been playing ToEE religously for the last week... my problem is this - my druid has become permanently entangled, and I can find no way to get rid of this.

I have looked into the idea of hex-editing this, but apart from Ferros' character editor I can find no help... does any one know anything about this? Perhaps what hex string I should be looking for/changing to?

I don't want to have to go back a day or two's worth of save game. I know, school boy error not saving more frequently / in different slots!

The so called 'spell permanency' bug has been with ToEE since the beginning, and there's really no way to get rid of it. It can happen with almost any duration spell. Basically your PC has to die in order to make it go away, so you could kill him/her and get ressurrected again or make a new version and console them up to where the old one was if you were really determined.

Our mod at Co8 has a built in feature for dealing with this, but it doesn't sound like you're playing it atm.

So it's well worth installing the mod then? Will this affect my current saved games at all?

Yeah it will - you'll have to start a new game in fact.

I'd recommend you do indeed play the original campaign first though, but you'll have to either kill your PCs with permanent spell effects or start another new game to deal with that problem in vanilla.
