[IMG] I am on the last quest for the order of the radiant heart. I have protected Tyrianna and then Hurgis Baltezar came to pick her up. I cast detect evil on him, and he was evil. I killed him and now I have been waiting forever for the real one to show up but he has not came in about 10 minutes of real time. Glitch, or do I need to wait longer?

[IMG] I think you are ok and just need to return to the order.

This is what I got from a guide:

"When Tyrianna's godfather, Hurgis arrives there are two possibilites:

    1. He may be an evil assassin.
    2. He has no proof of his identity, but doesn't detect as evil.

Cast Detect Evil to see which he is.
If he detects as evil he is an assassin that must be killed, otherwise hand her over to him and return to the Order.

Talk to Reirac to get a reward: Pride of the Legion +2 and a Large Shield +2.
Your Paladin abilities will also be increased."

Personally I never play as a paladin. However, I don't hate them - they're best leading party members because of high charisma. Too bad you can get it high from item in circus tent quest very early in BG2. As I'm concerned this is a big screw up - now I even kick Keldorn outta party.

Of course, you can always cheat for high charisma, but where's the fun then? Was the game ment to be enjoyed with or to run thru it in couple of hours and feel nothing?

True but paladins give warrior fighting skills with a few extra abilities like detect evil, lay on hands, etc. That is why I chose the cavalier.

You forgot the improved rescue throws, a few low level cleric spells - and on my cavalier "holy might" - giving him +2 on str/ dex/ con and some other nice features. Actually pallys aren´t too bad ;)

[IMG] Don't forget the supreme Paladin kit: the Inquisitor!
His Dispel Magic is fantastic and True Sight is pretty darn useful too! ;)

In general all Paladin kits are far superior to the basic Paladin - and the basic is not bad!
+2 to saving throws is the only ability worth mentioning the basic Paladin has.

Also Carsomyr is such a great weapon that unless playing an evil party you should think very, very hard before deciding to go without a Paladin.
