In my too long absence, I noticed that I amused myself by listening to music, day after day, night after night. And I really didn't listen to anything new, you know, all the old stuff, like pre-2000 music. Ah, 1999, a good year for music.

Anyways, I wanted to know, like what CD's and albums you guys still enjoy listening to, even though it's "old." Me? I like Our Lady Peace's "Happiness is not a Fish that you can Catch," Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Californication," and No Doubt's "Return to Saturn." I could listen to these all day. You?

Pre-2000? Old stuff ?? Boy, I must really be an old fart. :( To me, anything released after 1989 is new, and “Classic Rock” is from the 70’s. I actually know what an album looks like.

Now , if you’ll excuse me, my bursitis is starting to act up, and my dentures need cleaning…

phil collins, era, enya, some metallica, lots of different stuff. Robbie Williams ofcourse.

I'd say 1999 is rather new music too. Guess it depends on age, since a song like breakfast at tiffanies would be I consider an oldie but goodie.
Roxette in the early years rocked! :D

    John Mayall's Blues Breakers
    Led Zeppelin
    White Stripes

Pearl Jam and Nirvana used to be real favourites of mine, but I hardly listen to them at all. I'm getting right into blues so i listen to a lot of random bluesy things.

    Santant - Abraxas
Al Stewart - Past, Present, and Future
    Steely Dan - aja
The Who - Who's Next, Quadrophenia
    Fleetwood Mac - Rumors
Tom Petty - Wildflowers, Full Moon Fever (OK, so these are from the '90s...)

Also anything by Bruce Hornsby or Stevie Ray Vaughn.

So, I see we’re finally getting to the music I grew up with.

    Some more:
Chicago (1st two albums, even if they were released a bit before I became interested in music)
Miles Davis – Kind of Blue (way before my time, but classic)
Radiohead (I’m all over the place here, aren’t I?)
    Jeff Beck – Wired
    Phil Collins – Face Value
    U2 – Joshua Tree
    Pat Metheny (anything)

Well I listen to everything I have in my collection but the albums I listen more often the last couple of months are:

Iron Butterfly - In a gadda da vida
    Savatage - Edge of thorns
Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties
Queensryche - Queen of the reich
Hawkwind - In search of space

Also, I listen some greek music as well especially the album "O stauros tou notou"(trans. "The southern cross"), which are poems of my favourite greek poet Nikos Kavadias.

Most of the new stuff that I listen to I don't think anyone here has heard.

Other than Nirvana I don't listen to much from the 90's. I don't listen to the 80's cause that was a decade that killed rock music. From the 70's I listen to way to much Zeppelin, it's unhealthy how much I listen to. The Who and Beatles also.
