Of course we care. Alpha Protocol was one of the best new gaming experiences for me last year. Even if the game was slightly flawed (Damn you Sega for delaying the patch for several months.). As for the upcoming games, well... I am simply not interested in them. I once bought a Wheel of Time novel and ended up throwing it away. IWD3 and DS3, just no. But maybe the games after those are going to be more interesting again or that new IP :-).

Icewind Dale 3 would be most welcome. I just hope they keep with the original gameplay formula. Dungeon Siege 3 looks like a Dungeon Siege game in name only, they've changed toe core gameplay so much.

I pretty much said all this in the news post but, IWD3 would be great and NPCs for the party and a little more freedom to explore wouldn't hurt (and staying well away from 4E). Bryn Shander or Termalaine are my guesses as to which town IWD3 would start in. Heart of Winter is my favorite part of IWD because of the side quests you can do.

I don't like the Wheel of Time book series but I'd certainly play a game if Obsidian developed one. Obsidian would really need to be careful not to upset the fans if they made a WoT game though. I sat down and played Alpha Protocol from start to finish with very few breaks between playing. I encountered a bug once and it really wasn't a big deal since it auto saved a few seconds before it happened. I don't see why there is so much talk about the game needing polishing; no one here is saying it but I saw a lot of it when the game first came out and the comments on Joystiq reminded me. It's like everyone is a robot and can't say anything about the games other than 'flaws' and 'needs polishing'.

Out of all the games brought up Ultima seems the least likely, I'd certainly buy it on release day or as soon as possible if they did :p.

I hope for IWD3, a new DnD CRPG would be great.
This post turned out a lot longer than I intended :p.
