NPC appears busy problem

    Ok, am I insane (no answers please) or did we once have a patch to cure the NPC will not talk problem? I tried to find one even searching this forum but it does not go back far enough. Am I missing something or is that fix part of another patch? I just can't remember!

    Are you talking about the "too busy to talk" problem? That's the official ToB patch, which you can get here.

    Something I should point out that I recently learned is if you installed BG2 on Windows 95/98/ME and upgraded to XP later, then tried to copy a backup of your BG2 directory to quickly reinstall your mods (or just installed it on two machines and tried to copy the game directory), the "too busy to talk" bug will appear even if the Win98 copy of BG2 was fully patched.
    You need to patch BG2 on a 2000 or later system to fix the bug.
