Anyone else played it? It kicks some big ass! Got a 9/10 in Edge ya know. All the japanese mystic, styled fantasy of the Onimusha's but with one hell of a hyper-suped-up combat system! Damn good, finally a game i can play without wanting to destroy it 10 seconds later. And to top it off, Transformers is out too!

Yeah, played it when it came out, was it 1985...? Can't remember. ;) IIRC, it was rather difficult game and I never found it interesting enough to finish.

Or do you mean the newer ones? :p

No smoke being blown whatsoever! The graphics are very nice indeed. The game is also challenging...it doesn't even have an easy setting. Which i like, because there are so many games out these days which you spend alot of money on, only to get a 1 week of play out of it! I hate that. Damn good game...and i didn't think i'd be saying that untill Fable comes out.

No PC version? Is it worth buying an xbox to play it?

Well Sarevok, it is a very cool game, but to buy an x-box *just* for it...nah, i don't think that would be practical. However, Fable is coming out in July so you could tell yourself you're buying it for Ninja Gaiden and Fable. Now it would definitely be worth buying an x-box for the combined awesomeness of those two!

I'm still not sure of this game. The graphic's look great, but I've heard it's a little difficult to get used to controls and that its much more of a button basher than anything else, is this true?

The controls are only hard if you have really crappy hands! No the controls are fine. Concerning the button pushing, yes you push buttons, the combat is fast and furious, you would kinda suck real bad at the game if you didn't rapidly hit buttons. But this does not mean it is a no brainer. It is a hacken slash in its own way, but one that requires finesse. The combat system is one of those easy to learn but very hard to master type of things. There are a host of different moves and a host of uber-cool ninja weapons to lay them out with. With the added acrobatics your character can perform it is highly enjoyable. You can run all over walls, back flip off them, wall grab, bounce yourself off them to unleash an attack on a supposedly "out of range enemy" etc.

Basicly, if its a really deep and meaningfull story line you want, that makes all your motives and actions deep and meaningfull in turn, don't buy it. Now i'm not one to be taken in by the absolute TRASH that is computer games these days, in fact i haven't actually bought a new one in, oooo, 1 year! But this game is about gameplay. And it's gameplay is goood. Very fun, very satisfying, very cool. Not an rpg, but it isn't trying to sell itself as such. Basicly it's Onimusha, but with a far better combat system, but less of a story. I don't normally like games that have no-or a cliche story, but i like this!
