I'm looking to buy myself a new custom PC. I've heard about a couple of websites that will build one to your specs. Basically, I was wondering if any of you have ever bought a custom PC off a website, and what you thought of the prices and service? Can any of you give me any links?

Also, as i'm in the UK, sites that will deliver here are probably best.

First: do NOT use Savastore (or Watford Electronics, to which they belong). Good prices, rubbish service. Dabs is alright, but only order things if they are on stock at the moment. If they tell you something will be in stock in 2-5 days, this could suddenly switch to 4 weeks without you knowing, and your entire order will be on hold for a month. Not fun. PC World is good if you want to be able to see what you're buying before you buy it, but they're rather expensive.

Of all the online stores that I've tried here Ebuyer (www.ebuyer.com) was the best. They delivered very quickly, and they've got the best prices I could find. I can't comment first-hand on their after-purchase service, as everything I got from them worked like a charm, but I've heard from other people who say it was excellent (as a comparison, I had a bad experience with both Savastore and Dabs, and know other people who curse Savastore every time I mention the name)

I just checked Cúchulainn's website... this is really good! It's slightly more expensive than buying the individual components from Ebuyer, but it's definitely worth it since it saves you the hassle of putting everything together. I wish I'd known about this site a year ago...

You also have Komplett, a Norwegian company established in the UK. I don't know about the prices, but I've been using them for years (in Norway though) and have never had any problems with customer service.
