Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

I'm personally waiting for the programming department to implement my "modern game on/off" toggle switch. In the off mode all modern conveniences of games are turned off. Journal to track my progress? Gone. Minimap? I have to draw that stuff myself or I'm not satisfied. Mouse interface? For ponces, text parsers are the only way to go.

No more half-truths and E3 spin, Mr. Davis, is NWN2 going to have out-of-box Amiga support or not?

    Drow Eyes

When did Drows started getting YELLOW eye?

    Arn't the're eyes always RED?

I rewatched the diary and notice this!
The Dunmer (Dark Folk, or Cursed Folk, in Old Aldmeris) have red eyes and ashen skin cursed with their sppearance by the Daedra Prince Azura for the betrayal of the First Council at Red Mountain. Oh, I'm sorry, wrong board.

Yep, it's temp music (much like our awesome temp voice ;) ).

    Are hoods in?

Quote: And if they have hoods, what about grifters, crooks, mugs, pugs, thugs, cons, crooks, outlaws, wrongdoers, scofflaws and even yard birds?
And just to make this D&D related...footpads and cutpurses. :evillol:

The user interface itself is completely customizable and can be completely rewritten if you don't like it from what I've heard. So expect some community designers to wow us on this one even if Obsidian does not astound us with the original UI release.
I just want to clear up a misconception here. The UI is *NOT* completely customizable. I have never said that it was. What it is, is completely SKINNABLE and you can make SOME modifications to the UI.

Some of the UI elements are very complicated and we simply do not have the time at this point to allow complete customization.

I have NO doubt though, that the community will be able to take what we have provided and RUN with it. We also plan to improve the UI and what you can do with it through content patches/expansions.

Is Obsidian worried that NWN 2 will sell poorly?
"Is Obsidian worried that NWN 2 will sell poorly?"

Not to sound arogent, but to simply be honest. No, not at all. Everyone involved in this project (Wizards, Atari, Obsidian) has great faith in this game at every level.

There have been some great fantasy CRPG's that have come out in the last few years. This is the game thats going to put D&D back on the top.

I was talking with Chris Avellone tonight over dinner and made the comment that every time I see the game it really amazes me how much it gets better and better with each passing day.

I understand there are more than a few sceptics and naysayers out there, and all I have to say is wait until September.

If thats not soon enough for you we'll have info in the coming weeks about what other consumer conventions we're going to be showing it off at. Come take a look at it for yourself in advance. Just be prepared to pick your jaw's back up off the floor when you do.

I am SICK to death of the Obsidian/Atari/WotC insulting/bashing! People have been warned repeatedly to clean it up, and obviously the warnings dont seem to be taken seriously. Since warnings dont work I'm going to skip suspending people and just start removing them permanently. I HATE having to play it this way but if you cant respect the rules we dont want you here. And thats as simple as it gets.
