Classic. OK. This show cracks me up, because it is supposed to be semi-serious, but the guy who plays the main character used to be a looney prince in a previous show, so I can never take him seriously.

I'll give a quote from the series pilot:

    - Has that statue always been there?
    - What, old Abe? Yup.
    - No Mr ******, not Lincoln. Lenin! Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov - Lenin!

This show lasted for two seasons. At the end of the first season they rewound time and started the second season back where the series started.

One of my clients back when I was in public accounting rented warehouse space to this show. To be honest I don't know what was actually shot at the warehouse if anything but it is always kind of amusing seeing something that was shot around Toronto claiming to be set in New York City. It is really amusing to see footage of the Statue of Liberty etc. thrown in and then noticing that the cast never appears in the New York stock footage. :)

    No it isn't Voyagers.

O.K. Here are a couple more hints.

The show was based on a comic book.

The main reason that it was cancelled after the second season was that the lead actress was no longer available as she was in rehab for alcohol abuse.

All right, this doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. I guess a couple more clues are in order.

    (1) The main character is female - which would be why it would have been difficult to continue when the actress went into rehab.

    (2) The comic book that the show was based on was published by Top Cow.

Solving crime isn't just this detective's job, it's his thing.
