Multi-Classing question

    Let's suppose a race has Wizard as his favored class.

    Would a specialist Wizard (e.g. Illusionist) still count as a Wizard for purposes of avoiding any multi-classing penalties?

    Yep. While we're on the topic of multiclassing penalties though in more recent versions of NWN2 specialist wizard spell restrictions now apply to all classes. Say your specialist wizard can't use conjuration spells. Multiclassing him into a cleric/wizard = a cleric who can't use Resurrection, including most healing spells.

    Just a heads up, since a grand total of 3 specialist wizard types have Conjuration as their forbidden school.

    What an odd thing to do. That shouldn't happen the specialist wizard restrictions should only apply to that particular spell list. IN fact in the PnP version that is one of the reasons to multiclass into sorcerer or better yet cleric with the magic domain so you can get access to items that use those spells.
