I finished a solo run of Baldur's Gate (Enhanced Edition) last night with my Fighter/Thief, Tuluth Storm-Caller. Then, I went to import him to the second game and when I looked at my character sheet, I was classed as a Grizzly Bear/Thief. I then noticed my strength went up to 20 from 19 (and yes, I checked to make sure), and my base AC had become 4. Then, I noticed I had three(!) points put into two-weapon, which I had none in before. Then, I couldn't equip long swords, which I beat Sarevok with.Basically, this is only Tuluth Storm-Caller in name. I would greatly appreciate any help with this, or a workaround.

This sounds pretty weird, while i have no idea what causes this problem, it's almost as if the save you are importing is corrupted, or BG2 is interpreting the information in it incorrect.

There are a few things you can try :
-Recreate the character from scratch, using console to give yourself your old XP values and stats.
-If you're currently are importing from a Final-save that bg1 makes for you, consider trying to export the character via the record screen, then only import the character, instead of an entire savegame. (of course if you are already importing from a character file, try importing a save game instead.)
-You can also edit the values back to what they should be in EEkeeper, though it might take some hunting down to find all the stats that were changed.

I used EEKeeper to fix the values, thanks. It said that I was a fighter/thief, but that I was using the Grizzly Bear kit. I just set the kit variable to 0 and changed the rest back to their actual values.
