Yes, I'd like to know what kind of character to play for some easy fun? By that I mean a char that won't be hard to play. You know, a fun character for a (sort of) newbie. Sorry If I don't make sens, it's hard to explain. meh.

Well, you could always try a spellsword (Fighter and Mage skills). I'd suggest all the magic schools, whatever weapon you prefer, and light armor.

You can smash everything in melee and cast every spell. (Such as travel spells like levitation)

Personally, I prefer rogues. (Without magic)

I like rogues with a small amount of magic. That was the most fun character I tried. My first, a fighter, was too dull to play for long. But a wood elf specialising in marksman, sneak, short blades, light armour and illusion is good fun. Doesn't take long to be killing the hardest enemies in the game with one arrow. Nice bow shop in Vivec.

In order to get the nice bow shop in Vivec, you have to have the "Area Effect Arrows" plug-in installed.

I've been experimenting with a new character lately...a real Jack-of-all trades type. He's a Breton (mostly for the magika boost) born under the sign of "The Lady" (hands down, the best birthsign...it's almost not fair) with majors in Long Blade, Heavy Armor, Marksman, Athletics and Acrobatics (I know that the general rule is not to take Athletics and Acrobatics as a favored skill, but I've had no problem with it and my character is at level 43). The minor skills are all magic related, Alteration (you have to be able to fly and open locks), Conjuration (a big help at lower levels for tough fights as conjured weapons and armor are way better than anything you can buy or find), Restoration, Mysticism...and, oh yeah, Speechraft.

He's been, so far, the best and most fun character I've ever tried. With that balance of skills you can also ascend to high levels in virtually any guild.

Isn't the atronach the best star sign when used as a Briton?
The idea that you absorb spells 50% of the time and resist them the other 50% and had a stack of extra spell points?
Although you could'nt rest to receive mana - you just summoned a ghost, attacked it and absorbed all the spells he cast at you.

So far, my outspoken warrior has been lots of fun. Long Blade, Heavy Armour, Speechcraft, Block, Marksman in major, athletics, acrobatics, alchemy, security and mercantile in minor, I think (I may be wrong re major/minor but not the skills per se). Imperial of race, The Lady as the sign. With the resulting personality and trade skills from arguing prices all the time, I was already able to buy and sell back for a greater price to the same merchant before level 10. Everything is cheap and it gets cheaper than that. If I start to fancy magic at some point, it will be cheap to learn and provide nice intelligence/willpower boosts at that. I pwn a lot and already have the Swordsman rank in the fighters guild and Champion in the legion, which is quite high, actually. ;)

I could never get much into Morrowind, due to the sheer mind-boggling hugeness of it all, but the character I got the furthest with was a Dark Elf Agent. He was good at talking his way out of stuff and was pretty decent in a fight as well.
The fact that you can get Brotherhood Armour almost as soon as you start playing (if you have Tribunal installed) was pretty handy too, mostly because it had a higher Armour than most heavy stuff you can get at that point.

I appreciate the assassins. They are part of the reason why I'm so rich now. Their gear is expensive, so I get paid well for it and I also get the opportunity to argue prices and raise my Mercantile skill, not to mention combat skills improvement. ;) Except sometimes I have to reload if they interrupt my sleep when I'm seriously wounded.

I'm playing a Mage/Thief type at the mo...I don't remember the skills exactly, but he's a woodelf, sign of the steed (yes I know....I regret it now! :p ), and majors in sneak, security, alchemy, marksman and acrobatics I think, don't remember the minors, although enchanting is in there somewhere.

He's pretty rich from stealing all his stuff, and he's a damn good shot with the bow ;) Its alot of fun to run around stealing things right from under peoples noses, and blasting everything away with a fireball or two :D

I enjoy this character for a few reasons but mainly because of his marksman ability, and his ability to steal. I have a really nice alchemy set thanks to that :D
